Festival d'Aquí

Friday 18th, Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September

*D’AQUÍ FESTIVAL. Culture, gastronomy and local shopping. This September, Juli Garreta Gardens, at the sea promenade, will be full of shops and local restaurant services enlivened by different activities and workshops for all ages, music, dance and local culture performances. A festival to enjoy the shops, gastronomy and culture of Sant Feliu de Guíxols.

Artistic corners all day:

-Artistic books: artistic installation and books available for anybody who wishes to take them. In charge of the Octavi Viader i Margarit Public Library.

-Share your best memory of the festival at our photocall.

Saturday 19th September – D’AQUÍ FESTIVAL at Juli Garreta Gardens.

Opening hours: 11 pm. to 1 am.

-Power pilates. From 11am to 12pm on the Main Stage. Pilates session aimed at all audiences that is done entirely standing. It combines strength, balance and mobility exercises to work the core and improve posture and coordination. Come and tone your whole body with fluid, low-impact movements. Free. By Solea Wellness Studio.

-Guided visit to the exhibition “El paisatge humà de la Vall d’Aro”. By Gerard Bussot. From 11.30am to 12.30pm at the History Museum – Antic Hospital. In this temporary photographic exhibition, with around fifty photographs by Bender, Geli, Romaní, Sabater and Batet; from Gerard Bussot's personal collection, photographs of both Sant Feliu de Guíxols and Santa Cristina d'Aro and Castell-Platja d'Aro and S'Agaró are shown for the first time, helping us to understand where we come from and who we are today. -Creative workshop. Paint your ceramic star. From 11.30 to 1.30 p.m. in the “Espai Tallers”. Creative workshop to decorate and personalize a ceramic star with your favorite colors and drawings. You can take home the piece painted by you. Free. Hosted by Esperança Ceràmica Artesanal.

-Delivery of diplomas for the Summer Reading Contest. From 12 to 12:30 p.m. in the “Espai Jam”. Delivery of diplomas for participation and prize draw for the Octavi Viader i Margarit Library Summer Reading Contest. Free. Hosted by the Octavi Viader i Margarit Library. Collaborating with: Colla Carnavalesca Uuhquexungu.

-Storytime: Under the sea. From 12.30 to 01 p.m. in the “Espai Jam”. A strong storm causes Captain Black to shipwreck and causes him to lose his treasure. Years later, James finds one of the coins while swimming on the beach. When he discovers that it belongs to an old pirate treasure, he decides to look for more to give a birthday present to a very special person. Free. Hosted by Kids&us.

-Concert with Aina Donate. From 1.30 p.m. to 3 p.m. on the Main Stage. Intimate concert by the singer-songwriter with guitar and voice that combines indie pop/folk style with versions of more well-known songs. Free.

-Creative children's circus workshop. From 4.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. in the “Espai Tallers”. Creative circus workshop where children will build their own pieces and learn different ways to use them from the hands of a professional. There will also be information about upcoming family theater plays and two tickets will be raffled among participants. Free. Hosted by La Xarxa (Fundació Xarxa d'Espectacles Infantil i Juvenil de Catalunya).

*Performances by Dalia School students. From 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at “Espai Jam”. Two performances by Dalia School students where, combining English, theater and oral expression, a scene from the show The Jungle Book and an adapted version of Fame will be performed. Free. Hosted by Dalia School.

*Live demonstration workshop and hair advice. From 6 to 8 p.m. at “Espai Jam”. Put yourself in the hands of a professional and discover the potential of your hair. During this activity you can learn how to care for it, style it and get the most out of it with practical and personalized advice, while enjoying the atmosphere of the Festival. Free. Hosted by Santana Studio.

-Rumba rhythms concert with Entre Dos Cuerdas. From 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Main Stage. The group Entre Dos Cuerdas comes to the Festival with its Catalan rumba and flamenco fusion, performing emblematic versions that will make the audience dance and vibrate. Free.

-Natural art workshop: “Entre flors I mar” Between flowers and sea. From 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the “Espai Tallers”. Print your tote bag with two techniques: floral printing and gyotaku. In this workshop you will explore two printing techniques inspired by nature: printing flowers with natural pigments and Japanese gyotaku, based on the printing of fish. Each participant will create their own 100% cotton tote bag, combining two techniques in a unique composition to take home. Price: €20. Limited places Registration: 675896812. -Concert with Alexis Corey. From 8 to 9:30 p.m. on the Main Stage. Alexis Corey brings us a proposal that fuses smooth jazz, soul, pop and rock. A performance with rhythm and sensitivity that covers different styles and invites us to enjoy her voice live. Free.

-Concert with Les Paquites. From 10 to 11:30 p.m. on the Main Stage. Les Paquites offer an energetic concert with songs in English and versions of classics of all time. A perfect proposal to enjoy, dance and let yourself be infected by their energy and passion on stage. Free.

-DJ Ruggy. From 12 to 1 a.m. on the Main Stage. DJ Ruggy offers a session for all ages through the great hits of the 80s and 90s to the most current hits. With his own versions of Catalan music, he creates a dynamic show, full of energy, interaction with the audience and lots of fun. Free.
